The sad reality that even after the announcements by many security firms and journalists that Internet Explorer should not be used many companies have found they have locked themselves into a security nightmare by not programming to standards.

"open source" than IBM and that they are infact the number one
contributers. What it comes down to in my opinion is who has done more to
advance Linux in general.

After posting my last article (The Lindows Analysis: A Second Look) I stated that one of the main reasons I would not currently recommend Lindows to anyone was because you run as root by default...I received and read many comments from people such as "in Windows you run as administrator by default" or "you only need security on a server not a desktop". I couldn't disagree more!

Linux does not, and should not, have to look like Windows to be considered "easy" to use. Creating copies of existing Windows environments only deceives users and is counter-productive.
